Sebastián Marcelo Wainraich approaches the stage with the low-stakes anxiety of a man who is moderately successful but deeply unconvinced by the concept of adult life. His brand of comedy thrives on the minor defeats of the everyday—the subtle social pressure of a hotel minibar, the constant search for a working Wi-Fi connection, and the surprising social advantages of a funeral compared to a wedding. Rather than leaning into the larger-than-life swagger typical of mainstream stand-up, Wainraich works as an anti-hero who is actively worn down by his own routines.

Filmed on August 26, 2017, at the Auditorio Mayor de la Ciudad de las Artes in Córdoba, Argentina, the special represents a rare detour for the Buenos Aires-born comic. Wainraich, then a powerhouse on Argentine radio hosting Metro y Medio and a frequent theater draw in the capital, specifically requested to record the special in Córdoba to test his material against a notoriously demanding regional crowd. Directed by Raúl Campos and Jan Suter, the 49-minute production captures a comedian at a transition point, a couple of years before he would write and star in his semi-autobiographical series Casi feliz.

Wainraich’s wife, fellow comedian Dalia Gutmann, makes an appearance on stage to anchor the set’s focus on marriage, domestic dysfunction, and the exhaustion of parenting. Cameos by fellow stand-ups Nicolás de Tracy and Roberto Moldavsky round out the production.
