Defeated sarcasm delivered at a slow, deliberate crawl.

“The Full Charge” is an ironic nickname for a comedian whose stage presence is built on exhaustion. Matt Fulchiron delivers jokes at a crawl, sitting back in the pocket of a bit like a guy who is too tired to entertain you. He rarely raises his voice or changes his expression. If a joke doesn’t land, he doesn’t speed up to win the crowd back. He just stares at them, letting the silence hang until the room yields to his rhythm.

He works as a career theater opener. Comics like Daniel Tosh and Tom Segura trust him to walk out in front of three thousand restless fans and force them to pay attention. He is the guy the headliner watches from the wings.

His material focuses on the indignities of aging, striking out, and having no money. He talks about needing to get married the way someone talks about needing a reliable used car. He complains about being broke, tired, and lonely, but he delivers the complaints with the steady, unbothered pacing of a guy who knows exactly where the punchline is. He doesn’t ask for pity, and he never begs for a laugh.

He hosts The Full Charge Power Hour podcast, but his live act remains firmly anchored to his total lack of enthusiasm. When he walks to the mic stand, he already looks like he wants to go home.
