Brick Wall Comedy keeps track of stand-up specials: what's out, who made it, where to watch it, and whether it's worth your evening. The catalog covers streaming specials, YouTube hours, independent releases and comedy albums.
It's independent. No streaming service, network or management company pays for anything here, and nothing is sponsored.
Who writes what
The Wednesday letter is written by a person, a comedy nerd who has watched more specials than is reasonable. The picks, the opinions and the jokes in it are human.
The catalog is written with AI. There are thousands of specials and comedians, more than one person can write up by hand. The short writeups, taglines, comedian bios and topic tags are drafted by AI from published sources, such as the special's own listing, reviews and interviews. Nobody checks each one by hand, so some will be wrong.
Corrections are welcome. If a date, a name or a description is off, send a correction by email, and it gets fixed.
Data and images
Covers are the promotional art of each special's distributor, label or streaming service, YouTube or TMDB. Most load from their servers, and some older ones from ours or the site we first found them on. Portraits come from Wikimedia Commons, credited on each.
