Andy Peters works at full tilt, burning nervous energy through manic crowd riffs, rubbery facial contortions, and sudden bursts of mock fury directed at front-row bystanders. There is little conventional polish on the set, which is the point: the hour plays less like an audition tape for a network executive and more like catching a club regular on a night where every off-the-cuff impulse gets chased down.

Director Steven Feinartz filmed the set over a single night at The Virgil in Los Angeles, capturing the cramped room without sanding off its edges. Comic fixtures Eddie Pepitone and Karen Kilgariff drop in, framing a performance built around awkward icebreakers, amateur wrestling, and a mandatory mid-set exercise break. Peters came out of the Pacific Northwest scene before relocating to Southern California, and the taping catches him just ahead of his run on TruTV’s Those Who Can’t.
