Maine’s most prolific stand-up export finally gets his first television half-hour, bringing a high-energy set to New York City. Bob Marley (the comedian, not the reggae icon) built his career on rapid-fire delivery and hyper-local New England absurdities. Here, he aims for a broader crowd, using extended food analogies to outline the mechanics of marriage and unloading a very specific list of restaurant pet peeves.

After eleven years in Los Angeles chasing sitcoms and landing a cult-favorite role as Detective Greenly in The Boondock Saints, Marley had recently moved back to Portland, Maine, deciding he just wanted to be a touring comic. Recorded in December 2006 at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre and aired the following February, this Comedy Central Presents set catches a working club professional exactly where he belongs: back on a stage, complaining about the weather.
