The Ten Dollar Ticket

Jeff Garcia’s live comedy lives in the friction between working-class Southern California neighborhoods and the rest of the world. Instead of claiming a standard solo hour, he turns the night into an ensemble set, sharing the stage with road comics Bruce Jingles and Rene Garcia.

The material focuses on dating disasters, neighborhood fighting styles, and racial divides. Jingles leans into the absurdities of growing up as the lone Black kid in a Latino neighborhood, while Garcia anchors the room with crowd exchanges and blunt California street humor. To mainstream audiences at the time, Garcia was recognized primarily as the voice behind Sheen in Nickelodeon’s Jimmy Neutron, making the R-rated club material an intentional counterweight to his voiceover career.

Directed by Steve Race, the set initially aired on Showtime before Comedy Dynamics distributed it across digital platforms in 2015.
