Weaves ordinary room chatter into sprawling, chaotic mythology.

He leans over the edge of the stage, zeroes in on someone in row two, and starts building a case. He skips the usual club host routine of tossing out canned insults about where people live. Instead, he extracts small details, memorizes an odd hobby mentioned twenty minutes earlier, and knots it into whatever someone else says across the room. He talks fast, smiling wide enough to coax people into volunteering confessions before they realize they are providing the plot for the night.

Across the British club circuit, he is the dependable glue of weekend lineups. Cellars in London and clubs like Komedia and The Stand lean on him to jumpstart cold rooms without turning cruel. At the Edinburgh Fringe, he has repeatedly turned that crowd-work habit into concept hours like Fablemaker, where the entire script is improvised from audience biographies.

With an eccentric crowd, the running jokes compound fast. A casual mention of an unusual job turns into an adventure with recurring villains. The limitation is that his curiosity can feel like an audit. If someone clams up, his instinct is to press further rather than cut his losses, leaving shy patrons sweating in their chairs.

That stubborn persistence carries over from his offstage life. He is an obsessive walker who once covered the entire London Underground network on foot for charity. On stage, that same endurance means he refuses to abandon an idea until he has mapped out every corner of the room.
