Rather than leaning on the ironic detachment common in alternative comedy, she talks like someone pulling you aside at a house party to explain an absurd theory she cannot let go of. A typical bit starts on solid ground, like an embarrassing dating story or a bad job, before she hits the gas and pushes the details into complete nonsense. When a premise makes the room pause, she does not scold the audience. She simply laughs at their hesitation and leans harder into the premise until everyone catches up.

She works almost entirely in the DIY ecosystem, building her own infrastructure rather than waiting on traditional comedy gatekeepers. She has spent years touring indie clubs, music festivals, and rock venues, eventually starting Burn This Records to release comedy albums for performers who operate outside the standard industry pipeline.

Her writing thrives on low-stakes obsessions, from forgotten nineties artifacts to the stubborn realities of aging without growing out of band t-shirts. Occasionally a bit moves too fast, rushing past a strong punchline because three extra tags are already fighting to get out of her mouth. Even when a transition gets sloppy, the crowd stays locked in because she never turns on the room.

Years of co-hosting the podcast Lady to Lady gave her an easy, unforced rhythm with an audience, while co-creating Picture This allowed her to riff alongside live animators drawing jokes over her head. She carries herself with the open, buoyant energy of an East Coast punk kid who never lost her taste for loud rooms.
