Road-tested domestic exasperation stripped down to the bare essentials.

Jena stands by the mic with both hands free, leaning back on his heels and waiting out the room before dropping another line. He does not yell. When he talks about his family, he uses a flat cadence that sounds like a neighbor leaning over a fence to talk about lawn care. A bit starts with a plain domestic fact, hangs in the air for a second, and lands on a punchline where he is almost always the casualty. When a joke lands soft, he just blinks, shifts his feet, and rolls right into the next setup.

He is an old-school road comic who built a long career far outside the coastal industry. Jena does not chase festival buzz or podcast trends. He plays traditional clubs, corporate dinners, and clean platforms, working for crowds that just want steady setups and punches.

His strongest material circles the strain of becoming a father late in life. Having an adolescent kid while shopping for reading glasses provides natural friction, and Jena plays it with weary resignation rather than loud slapstick. The jokes are unadorned and economical. The trade-off is predictability: once you understand his domestic setup, you can see the turns coming a few miles ahead.

He started in the late 1970s and eventually settled in Ohio, occasionally writing jokes for peers like Ron White. That mileage shows in how little breath he wastes. He knows exactly how many words a joke needs and refuses to spend an extra one.
