The other half is discovering that the woman who laughs at bad cakes also talks graphically about hospital visits and terrible men.
Her hours rarely feel meticulously structured. Instead of locking into a steady rhythm, bits will meander, drifting into tangents that sound exactly like her podcast riffs. Byer steamrolls past this looseness with pure, unashamed joy. When a premise wanders, she yanks the audience back by doing something wildly inappropriate and laughing at her own audacity.
