Pure nonsense played with the urgency of a life-or-death crisis.

Watching Paul F Taylor feels like walking into an argument between an overtired schoolboy and the laws of physics. He darts across the floor, twists into elaborate pantomimes, and drops punchlines from strange angles before the room can settle. A setup might start on something petty, like why two completely contradictory idioms mean the exact same thing, before escalating into an operatic panic. When an idea slips away or misses, he never scrambles for cover. He just registers the detour with a bewildered grin and sprints toward the next shiny object.

On the British club circuit, he sits in an odd pocket. He headlines weekend rooms where most comics stick to dating and train delays, standing out because he refuses to talk like an adult with bills to pay.

The pace is the engine. When the wordplay and the physical clowning click, the room gets swept up in pure silliness. The routine can wear thin over a full hour if the nonsense floats without any gravity, but his best sets keep one foot on the ground. Tying the erratic detours to his adult ADHD diagnosis gave the material a spine, making it clear that the chaos on stage is just how his mind actually sorts out the world.
