Sid Singh takes on the anxiety of being a brown, liberal atheist in a world where dating, family expectations, and crowd perceptions are constantly misaligned. Rather than relying on heavy-handed political messaging, his debut comedy album leans into the inherent discomfort of his own identity, turning the awkwardness of being an Indian-American living abroad into self-deprecating stand-up. Released in June 2017 by Stand Up! Records, this debut release peaked at number three on the iTunes comedy chart and number thirteen on the Billboard comedy chart. The record captures his fast-paced club delivery, notably during a twelve-minute track detailing a disastrous gig in Birmingham, England. Other segments focus on the bizarre racial projections of strangers, the hypocrisies of modern progressives, and the realization that his only vocal supporter at a show was a homophobic nature enthusiast.
