Chasin' Dreams

Brennan Tasseff plays against his own build: a former college football player from Florida who got sober, moved to New York, and discovered that chasing comedy does nothing for a credit card balance. He leans into the quiet embarrassment of trying to look respectable while working restaurant shifts and dreading asking his future father-in-law for permission to get married.

Tasseff recorded the hour live at Grove 34 in Astoria, Queens, releasing it on YouTube in September 2026. A regular at clubs like The Stand and the host of the podcast Your EX Drinking Buddy, he spends the set picking apart the mundane indignities of his thirties.

The set touches on fast-food starter jobs, waiting tables on celebrities, and an inexplicable fixation with the mid-2000s cable drama Burn Notice. He spends a solid chunk on the mismatch between lifting heavy at the gym and having emotional breakdowns immediately afterward.
