Chaos

Bron Lewis

2026

Parenting stories told with the brisk authority of a former teacher.

Bron Lewis approaches family life without sentimental softening. She treats her household like an overcrowded detention room: three kids of varying ages, a partner who wanders to the dog park for human contact while working from home, a golden retriever, and a mother who moved in by stealth.

The posture is that of a tired shift supervisor dealing with people who refuse to clock out.

Her background in the classroom clearly informs the set. Lewis handles the crowd with strict instincts, whether calling out an audience member slipping away for a bathroom break or recounting the mortification of getting dressed down by her twelve-year-old in a grocery aisle. Stronger sequences focus on petty suburban friction, including her children running an aggressive container recycling hustle and older neighbors viewing Halloween trick-or-treaters as home invaders.

Filmed across June 5 and 6, 2026, at the Powerhouse Theatre inside Brisbane Powerhouse, the 73-minute performance caught Lewis during a busy stretch. Four years after co-winning Melbourne’s national open-mic contest, she published her debut book, joined the ABC sketch series Urzila, and collected the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s inaugural VicScreen Greenlight Award before taking the show to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Reviews noted that the hour trades tightly coiled joke craft for easy familiarity, relying on her affable presence to make domestic complaints feel companionable.
