Comedy Now!

Brian Lazanik steps into the spotlight for this 2002 episode of CTV’s Comedy Now!, anchoring the room with steady observational premises and structurally sound one-liners. Filmed as he was building momentum in the Canadian club circuit—traction that resulted in a Canadian Comedy Award nomination for Best Newcomer in 2004—the broadcast offers a clear look at a working professional making the jump to a wider audience. He treats the television format as a straightforward extension of his regular act, presenting his material without the theatrics often attached to early-career tapings.
