Comedy Now!: Brigitte Gall — The Girl Has Gall

Saskatchewan-born comedian Brigitte Gall leans heavily on her acting background to deliver a set rooted firmly in her Prairie upbringing. The Girl Has Gall weaves acoustic guitar and vocal performances into material about coming of age near Regina, projecting the clean, earnest energy of a comic pulling directly from her own backyard.

The half-hour was filmed for the 1997 debut season of CTV’s Comedy Now!, arriving as Gall was cementing herself as a reliable draw in the Canadian comedy scene. A year after the television block aired, her momentum as a working entertainer landed her a spot in the Who’s Who of Canadian Women.
