Comedy Now!: Roman Danylo - Roman Times

Roman Danylo treats a stand-up set less like a rigid script and more like a playground for his improv instincts. A product of Calgary’s Loose Moose Theatre, Danylo leans heavily on physical act-outs and character work, shifting gears quickly on stage to keep the momentum going.

Filmed for the second season of CTV’s Comedy Now! showcase, Roman Times aired in the summer of 1998. At the time, Danylo was a rising entity in Canadian television, having checked off dual appearances at the Aspen HBO Comedy Festival and Montreal’s Just for Laughs. This televised set operates as an early national introduction to a comic who would go on to anchor the sketch series Comedy Inc. a few years later.
