Andy Peters treats his debut hour less like a polished theatrical show and more like a high-end bootleg, capturing the feeling of an intimate room where the comic is comfortable enough to just scream at strangers. Filmed over a single night at The Virgil in Los Angeles, the set was released in 2015 as both an album and a video special. Directed by Steven Feinartz, the 50-minute show leans into its unpolished edges. Bit titles like “Icebreaker!” and “It Is Important to Open with a Perfect Introduction!” accurately frame the set’s priorities. The recording captures Peters as a regular in the LA comedy scene, shortly before he landed a recurring role as Coach Peters on the TruTV series Those Who Can’t.
