Bobcat Goldthwait hits the stage with his signature raspy, hyperventilating persona, delivering a frantic takedown of mid-nineties celebrity culture. He leans into the manic energy that made him famous, weaponizing his nervous twitchiness to tear apart the entertainment industry from the inside.

Filmed at The Fillmore in San Francisco for the HBO Comedy Half-Hour series, the 1995 set captures the comic during a highly publicized, chaotic stretch of his career. The previous year, he had trashed the set of The Arsenio Hall Show and set a guest chair on fire during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. That stunt resulted in an arson charge, mandated public service announcements, and nearly four thousand dollars in fines. Rather than lighting any more furniture ablaze, he brings his destructive impulses back to the microphone for a tight twenty-six minutes.
