Patrick Hastie builds his debut hour around a distinct contrast: the perspective of an Iowa farm boy who spent a decade grinding in the Brooklyn comedy scene. It is a biographical set that functions as a greatest-hits compilation of his first twelve years in stand-up, tracking his transition from a punk kid in the Midwest to a regular on New York showcase stages.

The set was recorded at the Independent Comedy Club in Hamtramck, Michigan, and released in late 2023 by Four by Three. This release coincided with a highly active period in Hastie’s career, landing just after his debut solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. While that festival show focused on his mother’s side of the family, I Will Fight All Of You turns toward his father, a former butcher, and the realities of growing up in Southwest Iowa.

The resulting set weaves together early jokes written in Omaha basement venues with fresh material developed right before the cameras rolled, focusing on family history and the realities of a rural upbringing.
