Love: The Nick's Tape

Nick Guerra builds his set around domestic friction and self-effacing observations without turning bitter. He frames the material with track titles nodding to nineties hip-hop, bouncing between the compromises of moving in together, drinking missteps, and the unwritten logic of a bedroom wear-again clothing pile.

Comedy Dynamics released the 59-minute audio record in January 2016, catching Guerra after a burst of television recognition. He had recently won the 2015 StandUp NBC showcase and performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, building on earlier appearances on Last Comic Standing and Gabriel Iglesias’s Stand-Up Revolution.
