Late To The Party

Rudy Rush works with the easy authority of a comic who spent years holding microphones in front of unforgiving rooms. Rather than reinventing club comedy, this 41-minute audio release, issued by Comedy Dynamics in August 2015, leans squarely into domestic friction and reliable stagecraft. Rush, who previously served as the youngest host of Showtime at the Apollo before becoming a fixture on syndicated radio, sticks to familiar ground: church customs, the perils of getting fired, the indignities of marriage, and why bad behavior from your own children feels entirely different from dealing with anyone else’s.
