Uncle Of Anarchy

Russ Nagel’s whole persona suggests someone who might pick a bar fight, only to deliver an efficient, clean club set about domestic life and personal absurdities. When he finds himself stranded outside an Oklahoma Burger King at midnight after the lobby closes, the worker on the intercom refuses to take an order on foot. Rather than start an argument, he hitches a ride in the flatbed of a stranger’s pickup idling in the queue just to get dinner.

Taped in 2017 at the Dry Bar Comedy club in Provo, Utah, the 43-minute set features Nagel after decades of headlining clubs and cruise ships under the moniker America’s Funniest Biker. Despite the biker branding, the hour adheres strictly to the room’s sober, family-friendly format.

He keeps the jokes moving quickly, running through bits about his Southern Jewish background, fifteen years of sobriety, a fear of flying, and confiscating his son’s phone. It is dependable road comedy built on mechanical precision rather than reinvention.
