The Delightful Sausage: Cold Hard Cache

Chris Cantrill and Amy Gledhill arrive on stage armed with a laptop, erratic slides, and an ill-advised mission to teach a room full of Southerners how the internet works. As The Delightful Sausage, the duo built their cult reputation on a specific strain of low-rent Yorkshire eccentricity, and their debut hour operates less like polished sketch theater and more like a regional community hall seminar hijacked by lunatics. The show leans hard on technical clumsiness as an art form, with Cantrill playing the high-strung, frantic foil to Gledhill’s cheerful instability as they stumble through clickbait, spam emails, and a bizarre descent into the dark web. Filmed at The Bill Murray in London in late 2017 and released on NextUp in 2018, this was the pair’s first recorded special, capturing their shambolic DIY staging just before they became fixtures on the Edinburgh Comedy Award shortlist.
