Comedy Now!: Chris Finn - Urban Miffs

Before becoming a driving creative force behind defining Canadian television shows like This Hour Has 22 Minutes and Corner Gas, Chris Finn was on stage delivering Urban Miffs. Aired in August 1998 as part of the second season of CTV’s stand-up showcase Comedy Now!, the set captures the Ottawa-raised comic just as he was shifting toward his prolific behind-the-scenes career. While Finn’s legacy ultimately took shape in writers’ rooms—earning him five Gemini Awards—this early broadcast preserves his voice as a solo act before he started putting his jokes in the mouths of other performers.
