An unvarnished hour of storytelling, edible paranoia, and crowd disruptions.

Josh Wolf leans hard into extended, self-deprecating anecdotes, structuring his performance around exactly what the title promises. He stays away from rapid-fire observational setup-punchline structures, choosing instead to let four massive, highly detailed narratives carry the hour. The centerpieces of the set are prolonged misadventures: getting the police called on him at an IKEA over an emergency diaper change in the women’s restroom, and experiencing an intense wave of drug-induced paranoia in an airplane’s emergency exit row after eating a strong edible.
Filmed at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy in Vancouver, the special has the loose, unvarnished energy of a typical weekend club set. Rather than polishing away the rough edges, the production leans into them—including a moment where Wolf has to eject a disruptive audience member from the front row. This interruption temporarily stalls the performance, but his off-the-cuff response to the crowd work keeps the room on his side. Released in October 2024 by 800 Pound Gorilla Media, the hour captures Wolf in his element as a touring storyteller, showcasing the same conversational delivery that made him a staple on late-night panel shows like “Chelsea Lately.” He caps the night with an acoustic guitar, performing a comedic song about airplane digestive issues.
