Deadpan Welsh stand-up about bad weather and strange hotel rooms.
Langford’s appeal is an unhurried, polite Welsh lilt deployed over thoroughly grubby subject matter. The centerpiece here is a methodical retelling of what happens when a person checks into a hotel room and stumbles upon an abandoned box of sex toys. Rather than feigning shock, he treats the inventory like an awkward logistical puzzle, working through the hygiene, the etiquette, and the strange domesticity of it all. Directed by Stuart Laws and released in 2018 through NextUp Comedy and Comedy Dynamics, the set captures material Langford refined across UK clubs and the Edinburgh Fringe just before relocating to Australia. Between stories, he wanders through bad weather, street crime, and aging, answering unprompted audience interruptions with the same flat, deadpan curiosity.
