Comedy For Attractive People

Michael Kosta works the posture of an athletic, smug guy who suspects everyone in the room is just as shallow as he is. He commits to being petty about gym habits, ordering martinis, and the quiet indignity of feeling physical decline set in while still trying to look good. The jokes lean on Midwestern confidence transplanted to Southern California, where vanity constantly collides with basic bodily failure.

Recorded at The Comedy Store in La Jolla, California, the 48-minute audio set was released by Comedy Dynamics in early 2015. Kosta was in a transitional patch of his career: retired from professional tennis, fresh off co-hosting Fox Sports 1’s Crowd Goes Wild alongside Regis Philbin, and still a couple of years out from joining The Daily Show.

The set moves at a brisk club pace across twenty-eight short tracks, touching on bad romance etiquette, dishonest relationships, and the irritation of dealing with people who pretend to be humble.
