Lee Kimbrell is a Southern comic who traded classroom teaching for comedy clubs, bringing a relaxed, storytelling vibe to the stage. His debut special Mike & Molly highlights his Lexington, Kentucky upbringing and the eccentric characters in his family, while touching on the bizarre realities of performing stand-up during the pandemic.

Produced by the independent outfit Fourbythree, the 32-minute special was released in 2022 on YouTube and Tubi. At the time of the release, Kimbrell had built a reputation in the Midwest comedy circuit and was regularly opening for Theo Von. Rather than delivering high-concept commentary, he leans on regional oddities and self-deprecation. Bits range from the absurdities of wearing masks in front of police officers to his family’s casual relationship with prescription medication in tracks like “Xanax Mom” and “Pill Country”.
