In his 1991 half-hour for HBO’s One Night Stand series, he leans into high-energy absurdism, complete with sound effects and character work, covering topics like old-fashioned advice and the logistics of picking up hitchhikers.

This set aired just as Haley was breaking out of the club circuit following a run of late-night appearances.
