Walk It Off
Comedy Dynamics · Album · 2016
Clean, dry observational stand-up recorded in Nashville.
Keith Alberstadt works the space between polite Southern manners and mild annoyance with an easy, dry skepticism. He avoids shock value and confessional drama, focusing instead on everyday logic gaps, whether he is questioning why anyone felt compelled to invent softball or explaining why kids treating bedtime like an injustice makes no sense.
Recorded in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, the 43-minute audio album arrived in March 2016 on Comedy Dynamics. Alberstadt was already an established club presence and Comedy Cellar regular by the time of its release, having spent years sharpening material on late-night lineups and contributing monologue jokes to Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update.
The set leans into his perspective as a transplanted Southerner adjusting to New York life, balancing road-tested pacing with bits about air travel and phone calls with his father. Alberstadt keeps his delivery patient and his writing clean, letting construction do the heavy lifting. The record got an extra boost later that spring, briefly entering the iTunes comedy top ten following his appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
