Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents: Jared Logan

Jared Logan frames his West Virginia background not as a mountain-man caricature, but as the launching pad for a lifetime of mundane indignities. He relies heavily on his fast-paced delivery and slight physical exasperation to get through stories about the surreal experience of receiving a sexually transmitted disease test from a sweet, grandmotherly nurse. He also works through the mechanics of the absolute worst movie date of his life, letting his frustrations boil over in a highly controlled, theatrical panic.

Recorded at the Royale in Boston, this set aired as part of the second season of Comedy Central’s The Half Hour in the spring of 2013. At the time, Logan was heavily in the network’s orbit, having done field work for their Indecision 2012 election coverage and stand-up on Mash Up and John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show. He was also appearing weekly on the VH1 pop-culture recap Best Week Ever.
